Montreal Goldfield Guided Tour

A guided tour by trained local historians reveals the mysteries and anecdotes of times gone by. Follow boardwalks through the beautiful native forest, re-grown since the days of the gold rush moonscape where time has brought back to life a forest of tree ferns, eucalypts and orchids, inhabited by sugar gliders, lizards and diverse bird life. A browse through the Heritage Centre highlights the intriguing stories told by the guides. Toilet facilities and drinks are available. Dogs on lead welcome.
ADMISSION TO THE SITE IS BY GUIDED TOUR ONLY. TOURS RUN THURSDAY TO SUNDAY (closed Good Friday). Arrive by 1.45pm for tour start at 2pm sharp (latecomers unable to join once tour has commenced). Bookings only required for groups of 10 or more. Tour cost: $10 adults, $7.50 children, $30 family (2A/2C) - cash or card. Time: approx 1¼ hours. Length: 450m walking distance, mostly wheelchair accessible. Surface: boardwalks and compacted paths.

"Gathering Pieces" Art Exhibition @ Shop7 ArtSpace Gallery

Shop7 ArtSpace Gallery is hosting a Community Art Exhibition inspired by the title “Gathering Pieces” from Friday 8 May to Tuesday 26 May 2026. Everyone is welcome to celebrate art at the Opening night on Friday May 8 from 5pm to 7pm. The Exhibition showcases a wonderful variety of artworks by many local artists that have been created from a mixture of artforms in different types of materials. These pieces of art have been gathered together by our 2D curator, Doris Hoyne, and 3D curator Jenny Mein, to create an inspiring art exhibition. Shop7 ArtSpace Gallery overlooks the picturesque Bermagui Harbour. During winter we are closed on Wednesdays and open every other day from 10.30am to 3pm when you can call in and meet the artist on duty.

6am: Dawn Service at the Memorial, Lamont Street, Bermagui (opposite Reflections Holiday Park), followed by the traditional “Gun Fire Breakfast” at the Bermagui Beach Hotel (10 Lamont Street).
10.45am: March from outside Bermagui Pharmacy (Lamont Street) to the Memorial. To ensure safety of the marchers and the public, Lamont Street will be closed to all non-emergency vehicles from approx 10.30am until 10.45am. Disabled persons will be provided vehicle access to the reserved car park adjacent to the Memorial.
11am: Morning Service at the Memorial, Lamont Street (opposite Reflections Holiday Park).

Southern Lights Festival @ Cobargo

A youth-powered audio visual event transforming the Cobargo Showground Pavilion into an immersive digital art and live performance space. This is a youth-led multi-arts project that will engage young people from the South Coast to co-produce a festival at the Cobargo Showground Pavilion under the mentorship of the Cobargo Folk Festival production team, Griffith University lecturers, Sam's Caravan, local creative professionals and the Bioluminescence Project delivering hands-on skills such as digital content creation, audio visual production, event management, promotion and marketing, workplace health and safety and team work. This one-day workshop from 10.30am to 3.30pm invites children to come dressed in their favourite costume (real or imagined) and work together to create an original play from scratch.
