A guided tour by trained local historians reveals the mysteries and anecdotes of times gone by. Follow boardwalks through the beautiful native forest, re-grown since the days of the gold rush moonscape where time has brought back to life a forest of tree ferns, eucalypts and orchids, inhabited by sugar gliders, lizards and diverse bird life. A browse through the Heritage Centre highlights the intriguing stories told by the guides. Toilet facilities and drinks are available. Dogs on lead welcome.

If you’re interested in the science and art of fungi, cooking and eating mushrooms and truffles, then the Fungi Feastival activities will delight you. The Fungi Feastival presents award winning artist, Tika Robinson. Combining ceramics and works on paper, Tika’s fungi inspired work studies ideas such as life and death, and decay and growth.
