Retrace The Bermagui Mystery

Everyone is welcome to join members of the Bermagui and Narooma Historical Societies and a guide from Montreal Goldfield when we again revisit one of the South Coast’s greatest mysteries.
Retrace the mysterious disappearance of 5 men from Bermagui in October 1880 (146 years ago). Among them was government geological surveyor, Lamont Young, who had arrived in Bermagui to survey the goldfields. The only clue was a boat containing some of their belongings discovered near Mystery Bay. Their bodies were never found.
Meet at 10am at Bermagui Point (between Bermagui Harbour and Horseshoe Bay). A car is essential (carpooling encouraged) as we make several stops before finishing at Mystery Bay for lunch. Bring your own lunch, and a portable chair or stool is suggested.
For more information contact Laurelle 0409 761 582 or Stephen 0438 081 801.
