Conducted by Bega Valley Shire Council, celebrations start with a free breakfast at 7.30am in the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre, Zingel Place, Bega. From 8.30am presentations begin to the 2026 Citizens of the Year, Bega Valley Medallion winners and the Australian Citizenship Ceremony. Entertainment on the day provided by local musician Harper Jessop and the Bega District Band.
