Bermagui Country Club
Championship 18 Hole Golf Course

If golf is your passion, you must experience the Bermagui Country Club’s superb 18 hole championship golf course, although the fabulous views of the town, Horseshoe Bay and the brooding Gulaga Mountain may be a distraction.

Simply put, Bermagui is a beauty!

And tough. Long par 4s – plenty in the 370-400 metre range – with sloping fairways and a number of blind shots to the excellent greens. Many holes have doglegs. Fairways are lush and most are lined by a variety of beautiful trees. While you wouldn’t say this is a heavily bunkered course, there are many strategically placed sand traps. Water features prominently on a number of holes, not least being the 164 metre 15th, where the fairway is a lake. Be aware that at 6,085 metres (par 72) this is a serious walk with plenty of hills. You might consider a cart.

You will really enjoy this high quality challenging course, the beautiful views and abundant bird life.

Golf carts and equipment can be hired from the Pro Shop and there is a driving range, practice putting and chipping greens for your use. Golf tuition with resident PGA Professional, Chris Hearn, is also available – bookings are essential.

Golf competitions for men are on Thursdays and Saturdays and there is usually an 18 hole stableford event on Tuesdays open to both men and ladies. Ladies competitions are on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Twilight golf is available every day, just $15 for bookings between 2pm and 5pm.
