Benji & The Saltwater Sound System @ Murrah Hall

Saturday 16th December, 2017

In August 2016 they blew us away in a hail of rhythm … they’re back to do it again!

After their first year of existence Benji and the SSS are ready to crank out some serious tuneage! They draw upon Benji’s immersion in islander flavours and fuse these with the jazz, reggae and African roots of the band members’ past musical projects, to create hypnotic soundscapes underpinned by painfully catchy melodies. Add to this the beautifully poignant lyrics that Benji has become known for and you can’t help but expect something special from this all-star line-up.

Tickets $18 online at tickets@southcoasttickets.com.au or $20 at the door. Under 16 years free.

Murrah curries from 6.30pm — music starts 7.30pm(ish).

Four Winds Carols in the Pavilion

Saturday 16th December, 2017

Four Winds invites you to the beautiful Windsong Pavilion to experience a brilliant performance of Christmas music presented by The Song Company. The program, centred around the ‘Coventry Carol’, is a dramatic setting of Australian and English carols old and new. Woven into the musical story are newer settings of Christmas texts and a Gloria in Excelsis from the first part of the 15th century with upbeat syncopations and happy harmonies that could have been written yesterday. The program will sparkle with the season’s joy at a newborn child whilst reflecting on the more sombre realities of the Christmas story. The evening concludes with communal carol singing under the stars and a festive supper.

Cobargo Folk Festival

Friday 2nd March, 2018 - Sunday 4th March, 2018

Cobargo Folk Festival 2016Over 200 performers converge on the Cobargo Showground and provide a pageant of Australian and international talent. A fun-filled weekend of music, sessions, workshops, dance, choirs, song, comedy, poetry, yarn-telling, children’s activities, food, and bar.

In 2018 just some of the performers include Eric Bogle, Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band from USA, Neil Murray, Alan Kelly Gang from Ireland, Christine Collister & Michael Fix, The Northern Folk.

The festival is held in a beautiful rural setting with ample space and excellent facilities (including onsite camping with all amenities). Being fully self-contained means it is great for young children and the festival is very family friendly.

The Cobargo Showground is a short walk to the Cobargo village where there is a good pub, coffee shops, craft and antique shops and a service station. A huge range of food and craft stalls are also provided as part of the festival.

Tilba Easter Festival

Saturday 31st March, 2018

A unique festival with entertainment and activities to suit all tastes, live music on several different stages, roaming street performers, producers hall showcasing local produce, market stalls and delicious food.

There’s stilt walkers, buskers, street theatre, jumping castles, airbrush tattoos, face painting and a continuous reptile awareness show. Try your hand at the new cheese rolling competition, the treacherous egg throwing championship, the bushies boot throwing contest or one of the many other games and activities.

This all happens in the magical setting of Central Tilba’s main street and its 100 year old, colourful weather board buildings. Easter Saturday is the one day each year when Bate Street is closed to traffic and open to a huge array of culture and festivities.  A modest entry donation for adults and free entry for kids 2-16 years covers all the entertainment, all day long!

The festival is proud to be a volunteer non-profit community project, completely free of corporate sponsorship, and dedicated to a day of fun for everyone who attends.
