Add to Calendar“Jungawacky” Exhibition @ Shop7 ArtSpace
Thursday 3rd May, 2018 - Wednesday 23rd May, 2018

This is an exhibition open to the public with entry forms available at Shop 7.
A little background information about the title: Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist, Carl Jung, introduced the term ‘collective unconscious’ to describe the part of our minds that contains memories and impulses that the individual is unaware of. Jung suggests this state is common to humankind as a
whole and originates in the inherited structure of the brain. It could be said that the collective unconscious echoes throughout the myths
and legends contained in all cultures.
The title ‘Jungawacky’ encourages artists to allow their imagination and dreams free rein to connect with their culture and give some space for that which is emerging from their unconscious – a surprise waiting in the wings for expression in whatever medium suits.
A warm invitation is extended to join the artists on opening night at 5.30pm for nibbles and drinks.
